Description We are offering an exciting role for a Sr. Accountant in Van Nuys, California. This role is crucial in our organization, where you will be handling various accounting functions, including Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger. You will also be required to work with Blackbaud accounting software and apply your experience in nonprofit organizations or mental health.

Responsibilities:

• Processing Payroll in a timely and accurate manner

• Managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

• Maintaining and updating the General Ledger

• Utilizing Blackbaud accounting software for various accounting tasks

• Applying your experience in nonprofit organizations or mental health to enhance accounting processes

• Working with minimal instructions and demonstrating a high level of expertise in accounting

• Ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting regulations and guidelines

• Collaborating with other team members to ensure smooth financial operations

• Resolving any accounting issues that may arise

• Continually improving and streamlining the accounting process. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Senior Accountant role or similar position

• Proficiency in working with nonprofit organizations is required

• Experience in conducting audits is essential

• Must possess strong skills in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Knowledge and experience in working with the General Ledger is necessary

• Proficiency in using Blackbaud software is required

• Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required

• Must be detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment

• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential

• Must demonstrate high levels of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information

• Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is highly desirable.
