Position Summary: As a Training Specialist for the Silent Unity Prayer Ministry, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the ongoing training and development of our prayer associates. Your primary responsibility will be to design, implement, and facilitate training programs that equip our associates with the necessary skills, knowledge, and spiritual understanding to effectively support individuals in their time of need.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Design and implement comprehensive training programs for prayer associates, covering topics such as spiritual principles, effective prayer techniques, active listening, empathy, and customer service skills.

  2. Facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions both in-person and virtually, ensuring that associates are equipped with the tools and resources needed to provide compassionate and effective support to individuals seeking prayer.

  3. Collaborate with subject matter experts, including senior leadership and spiritual leaders, to incorporate relevant teachings and best practices into training programs.

  4. Work closely with the leadership team of the Unity Prayer Ministry to align training initiatives with organizational goals and contribute to the overall improvement of the ministry's services.

  5. Serve as a liaison between the Prayer Ministry team and other departments within the organization, facilitating communication and collaboration on training-related initiatives.

  6. Develop training materials, including manuals, presentations, and module summaries, videos and necessary educational content while ensuring consistency in training delivery.

  7. Provide individual feedback and coaching to prayer associates as needed, helping them improve their skills, enhance their effectiveness and navigating challenging prayer needs while providing spiritual support to our callers.

  8. Conduct ongoing assessments and evaluations of training effectiveness, soliciting feedback from participants and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and refinement.

  9. Stay current with emerging trends, research, and best practices in spiritual care, prayer ministry, and adult education, integrating new insights and approaches into training initiatives.

  10. Maintain the highest level of professionalism and uphold confidentiality in all interactions, respecting the privacy and personal information shared during prayer sessions.

  11. Regular and reliable attendance at the worksite, hybrid, or work from home and adhere to assigned schedule commitments.

  12. Adhere to all company and departmental policies and procedures per the guidebook including all safety requirements.

  13. Utilize electronic time management system to input time, attendance, and paid time off requests.

Non-Essential Job Functions:

  1. Assist in generating reports as requested by management.

  2. Support departmental and UWH-wide initiatives.

Qualifications

Education: A background in spiritual studies, theology, or related fields, preferred.A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred or equivalent contact center experience.

License:

Experience:

  1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in training and development, preferably in a spiritual or counseling setting.

  2. A minimum of 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience with a minimum of five direct reports.

  3. Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey spiritual concepts and principles in a clear and understandable manner.

  4. A deep sense of empathy and compassion for individuals seeking spiritual support, along with the ability to provide guidance and comfort through prayer.

Professional Skills:

  1. A solid understanding of spiritual principles, practices, and traditions, with the ability to integrate diverse spiritual perspectives into the training programs.

  2. The ability to build rapport and establish trusting relationships with prayer associates, providing support and guidance as they navigate their spiritual growth.

  3. Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate various learning styles and preferences, adjusting training methods as needed to meet individual and group needs.

  4. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.

Computer Skills:

  • Competent use of MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.

  • Competent use of and troubleshooting computer, device applications, and social media.

  • Contact center database software experience preferred.
