DoorDash Associate Manager, Strategy & Operations - Dasher Experience in Toronto, Ontario

About the Team

The Dasher & Logistics team is responsible for ensuring every delivery is completed with speed, accuracy and a positive Consumer, Merchant and Dasher experience. We’re building the world’s leading last-mile logistics platform and we believe that to accomplish this we’ll need to disrupt ourselves a few times along the way! Our team owns initiatives that touch all parts of the Dasher & Logistics life cycle ranging from cost & quality to Dasher pay, to Dasher retention, to order batching and beyond.

About the Role

We are looking to bring on a strategic, solution-oriented, and creative experience and retention marketer to join the Canadian Dasher & Logistics team. In this role, you will focus on launching and iterating on CRM programs that drive dasher retention and ensure that Doordash remains their go-to platform because of the great experience you craft for them. The ideal candidate can think big picture and ideate on the Dasher lifecycle in one moment, and seamlessly transition into the weeds of campaign execution and reporting in the next. They have experience building consensus with cross-functional teams, building trusted relationships with cross-functional partners, and excel at making data-informed decisions to accomplish campaign and business objectives.

Key areas of support include: creating and maintaining campaigns & workflow strategy, including offer, cadence, and audience testing; analyzing the impact of initiatives on key business metrics like retention rate, click-through rate, and cost per incremental hour and dasher; creative ideation & iteration, including creative optimization w/ the help of internal creative resources; consulting and overseeing strategy for various Dasher workstreams. In this role, you will collaborate with all parts of the business (strategy & operations, product marketing, analytics, legal) and with our core Dasher Retention team to create and execute strategies that engage and retain active dashers on our platform.

You will report to our Manager of Dasher Logistics in our Canada Strategy & Operations organization.

  • Work to support our Canadian dashers through thoughtful, strategic, multi-channel CRM strategies for all businesses such as marketplace, Drive, Dasher Shop and Deliver

  • Manage end-to-end development and execution of omnichannel campaigns

  • Create ad-hoc campaigns, as well as detailed dasher journey, flows with actionable trigger points to drive hours from dashers based on their feedback and dasher insights

  • Lead communications to Dashers to support urgent operations and improve merchant understanding of the dasher lifecycle

  • Be responsible for tracking your initiatives, reporting progress out to the team proactively and identifying the next steps from campaign learnings

  • Establish a strong working relationship with cross-functional stakeholders in our Product, Legal, Marketing Operations, Analytics and Strategy teams

  • Create step-change improvement for our dashers through regular engagement and operating at the lowest level of detail to identify their needs

  • You are extremely comfortable with ambiguity and can take charge of these situations to strategize and deploy long-lasting solutions

  • You are process, people, and performance-oriented

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • 4+ years experience in retention marketing, customer engagement, or CRM operations

  • Results-oriented with an exceptional track record of developing high-impact retention programs and exceeding performance targets

  • Highly motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work independently, while also able to build strong internal relationships and consensus on initiatives

  • Strong analytical skills; able to create data-driven marketing strategies and end-to-end campaigns

  • Effective stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to showcase your wins and quantify the impact of your work

  • You back your decisions up with data and you're comfortable pulling SQL and modeling

  • First-hand experience operating with marketing tools such as Taxi, Braze, Iterable and Campaign Manager is a plus

    Compensation

The location-specific base salary range for this position is listed below. Compensation in other geographies may vary.

Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, base salary is localized according to employee work location. Please discuss your intended work location with your recruiter for more information.

British Columbia Pay Range:

$112,000 — $168,000 CAD
