$10,000 Sign-On Bonus to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine UW Medical Center - Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our outpatient Multiple Sclerosis Center . This position will specifically focus on infusion services for multiple sclerosis patients.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • 5x8 shift schedule

  • Monday-Friday only

  • Day shifts (7:30am–4:00pm) DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The UW Medicine Multiple Sclerosis Center is one of the largest, most comprehensive multiple sclerosis programs in the United States and serves as a model for other multiple sclerosis facilities. Since its founding in 1977, thousands of patients in the Pacific Northwest have received diagnostic and therapeutic services here. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Screens patients for administration of medications via IV infusion

  • Ensures patients who are presenting are able to tolerate their infusions

  • Places IVs

  • Assesses and observes patients during infusions

  • Disconnects IV and monitors patients post-infusion

  • Documents all above activities in the Electronic Medical Record

  • Performs general clinic duties (monitors patient flow, coordinates patient triage, etc.) REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 years of recent medical-surgical or ambulatory nursing experience

  • Excellent IV skills

  • BLS Certification
