Description

We are seeking a diligent and experienced Staff Accountant for client based in Santa Fe Springs, California. This role will involve managing a variety of financial tasks, including accounts payable, bank reconciliation, and inventory adjustment. This role is a contract to permanent employment opportunity and will be integral to the smooth running of their financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage high-volume accounts payable, processing a minimum of 500 invoices per month

• Handle basic clerical Human Resources related asks, including directing inquiries to outside broker

• Perform collections activities to ensure timely payment

• Perform inventory adjustments to maintain accurate records

• Conduct bank reconciliation to ensure financial accuracy

• Prepare and post journal entries as part of month-end close procedures

• Utilize ERP systems and intermediate Excel skills for various financial tasks

• Handle tasks related to manufacturing and inventory as required

• Leverage skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, and Inventory Reconciliation.

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar accounting position

• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management

• Experience in Bank Reconciliation

• Must have a deep understanding and practical experience with General Ledger management

• Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries is required

• Proven experience in conducting Month End Close procedures

• Experience in Inventory Reconciliation is necessary

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficiency in using accountancy software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
