About the Role

We are in an exciting stage of evolution as the rules of the retail industry are rapidly changing. We must deliver tangible value to our global company in every stage of the product lifecycle. The Gap Inc Product Management organization will do this through the relentless pursuit of great software experiences while considering operating advantage and positive community impact. The work impacts millions of customers worldwide that love our iconic brands of Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, and Athleta. 

As the Senior Director, eCommerce Product Management, you will be responsible for supporting the eCommerce experience across our portfolio of iconic brands to help bring the 3-year vision to life. You are responsible for enabling key digital strategies to deliver a seamless online experience, while finding innovative ways to drive omni services and differentiation through the end-to-end shopping journey. You are responsible for guiding cross-functional teams to define north star ambitions and translating those into strategic roadmaps by working collaboratively with Brands, Engineering, UX/UXR and other Digital partners and leaders. And supporting flawless execution to drive measurable impact back to the business. You have an inquisitive and strategic mind – and are a storyteller at heart. You thrive on maintaining an ongoing pulse on your domain to continuously evolve roadmaps based on ever changing customer expectations, competitive pressures and key data and insights.

This role requires a strong product mindset; a combination of business savvy, customer centricity and technical knowledge. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the customer journey, while striving to understand the complexities of system integrations and operational impacts.  

What You'll Do

  • Evolve the eCommerce vision and help bring it to life by managing priorities, investments and resources with the team, cross-functional partners and Brands

  • Drive significant value. Grow the ecommerce business via experiences that are meaningful to our customers and measure their impact

  • Balance short-term optimization, feature and experience evolution with long-term platform investments; including those that foster responsiveness, extensibility and flexibility

  • Incorporate brand and business partner priorities into your agenda, supporting brand strategies while holding to the long-term vision

  • Build relationships with key business partners and other brand stakeholders; articulate product needs clearly and succinctly to different audiences and cross functional partners

  • Up level the product management function through talent, processes, practices and deliverables

  • Develop effective partnerships across the organization, including with general managers, design, finance, engineering, data science and marketing stakeholders

  • Develop and manage project plans and key stakeholder engagement strategy on all initiatives

  • Responsible for planning, budget and end results; set policies and strategic direction for area/team

Who You Are

  • Experience working with large software engineering teams both within and outside of your domain

  • Experience leading e-commerce and mobile product teams

  • Demonstrate technical acumen; ability to influence and debate solutions with technical team members, to understand technology solutions and potential tradeoffs and to represent technical concepts to non technical stakeholders

  • Evaluate sometimes complex situations using multiple sources of information (internal and external sources)

  • Able to filter, prioritize, analyze, and validate potentially complex In depth understanding of concepts and procedures within own subject area and understanding of procedures and concepts in other areas

Salary Range: $212,900 - $292,800 USD

Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
