Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks an Integration Engineer to join our Weapons & Missile Systems (WMS) organization in Saint Charles, Missouri to handle integration of Direct Attack Weapons (JDAM and SDB) on various Military Aircraft Platforms.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Track integration program budget and schedule.

  • Develop functional-level and detail-level hardware requirements, software requirements, electrical design, mechanical design, and software design for bench test equipment and other test assets. Develop procedure for system integration lab testing.

  • Integrate Boeing weapon systems to air launch platforms, develop Interface Control Documents (ICDs), software test plans, and perform engineering investigations of aircraft integration issues.

  • Analyze post-test data of weapon interface performance and generate performance reports.

  • Ensure that the weapons meet their installed performance requirements on air-launch platforms.

  • Ensure new weapon, features, and software upgrades successfully integrate with Aircraft Platforms through lab testing, on-aircraft ground testing, and flight-testing events, and post-test analyses.

To meet security standards and protocols, all work is performed onsite in St. Charles, MO.

Travel may be required approximately 10% of the time, domestically and internationally depending on business needs.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim or final U.S. secret clearance post start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 10% of the time.

  • Project management experience using standard project management tools.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in the defense industry, preferably with avionics and weapons integration, design, or test.

  • Experience in avionics hardware integration and software integration.

  • Knowledge of MIL-STD-1553, MIL-STD-1760, and integration lab experience.

Typical Education & Experience :

Experienced (level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Lead (level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range:

Experienced (level 3): 96,050 – 129,950

Lead (level 4): 119,850 – 162,150
