HARIBO of America Customer Marketing Manager in Rosemont, Illinois

HARIBO of America is growing – join us! We are adding an additional Customer Marketing Manager to our team. The Customer Marketing Manager is a liaison between Sales, Marketing, Finance that enables the Sales & Business Development team to achieve their annual business development key performance indicators and AMPS metrics—Assortment, Merchandising, Promotion, and Shelving.  Located on-site at the HARIBO of America corporate headquarters in Rosemont, Illinois, the Customer Marketing Manager, also know internally as a Customer Marketing Manager, is an individual contributor position the becomes the “Voice of Sales” internally and is “Voice of the Brand” to our Retailers, Brokers, and Distributors.

The ideal Customer Marketing Manager will have at least 5 years of progressive experience specifically within the fast-moving consumer packaged goods industry, extensive experience with IRI and/or Nielsen data, and a Bachelor’s Degree.

Responsibilities:

  • Using data to provide insight, analytics, and analysis to facilitate new item distribution forecasts by channel (Grocery, Convenience, Dollar, etc)

  • Partner with Business Development team, Marketing team, and external Retailers, Brokers, and Distributors to drive Sales plans around the 4 P’s (Product, Price, Place, and Promotion)

  • From the corporate office, develop plans for  AMPS- Assortment, Merchandising, Promotion, and Shelving

  • Assist in planning, development, and presentation of sales and brand materials at key meetings, trade shows, and industry functions

  • Understand the needs, motivations, and priorities of both the Sales team and the Marketing team, becoming the “Voice of Sales” internally and the “Voice of the Brand” to Retailers, Brokers, and Distributors

  • Development of high-quality and fact-based Selling Stories and Ready-To-Sell (RTS) materials

  • Understand market and category performance (candy, gummi, sugar, etc) through data, identify opportunities to improve national promotions

    Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive experience specifically within the FMCPG industry (fast-moving consumer packaged goods)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field

  • Prior experience working with IRI and/or Nielsen data or related syndicated data

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time with some overnight stays

  • Proficient in MS Office – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Experience creating and delivering formal presentations to decision makers

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience the candy, confectionery, snack, or related consumer goods industry

  • Prior experience working directly for the CPG/Consumer Packaged Goods manufacturer

  • Prior experience in sales and business development roles

  • Demonstrate strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail

  • Demonstrated ability to partner successfully with other internal teams
