Background & Purpose of the Job

The Customer Business Manager is directly responsible for creating and delivering a growth strategy for Unilever at Sam’s Club.

You are responsible for managing the growth of our largest business with Sam’s Club. This is a unique opportunity for a bold, customer oriented, strategic thinker that will develop the customer strategy and manage its execution at Sam’s Club.

You execute flawlessly, track & optimize: You pay attention to details and can evaluate a business and adjust when necessary to maximize growth. You possess exceptional organization, time management, and communication skills (both written & verbal)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the business relationship with Club team and stakeholders

  • Act as the primary liaison on all business issues both internal and external

  • Work closely with Unilever teams; Marketing, Shopper Marketing, Category Management, Supply Chain, etc.

  • Coordinate Annual Planning efforts, including executing Joint Business Plans

  • Drive trade investment effectiveness and efficiency

  • Develop corporate marketing and merchandising programs

  • Champion and drive strategic selling initiatives for Unilever with Sam’s Club

What You’ll Need To Succeed

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • 5+ years experience in CPG or Retail Industry

  • 3+ years experience in Sales / Customer Management

  • Proven execution of financial & developmental Targets

  • Working knowledge of Syndicated Data (Nielsen/IRI) and Customer Specific POS analytic abilities

  • Experience influencing through data and insights and drafting robust fact-based selling stories utilizing syndicated data, retailer specific POS data, panel data, and other research

  • Willing and able to travel 15% of the time
