Job Details Responsibilities: Assist the Director with the daily operations of the Risk Department. Assist the Director in maintaining the patient safety program for Mercy Hospital, which will include risk identification, loss prevention and loss reduction. Assist in conducting RCAs for serious safety events and will help with coordinating the High Reliability program at Mercy including setting up the agenda for special case review. Will conduct investigations, tracking, tending and reporting of safety events and incident reports. Responsible to review MIDAS incidents and good catches on a daily basis. Assist with discovery in litigation cases. Assist the Director in their absence in providing guidance for regulatory inquiries, complaints and clinical care issues Qualifications: BSN required, Master's Degree preferred ASHRM certification preferred Detail oriented; Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; strong organizational and communication skills. Working knowledge of EPIC Electronic Medical Record System. Five (5) years patient safety, risk and regulatory agency experience required. Salary Range USD $68.90 - USD $78.74 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
