Location: Durham North Carolina local only

REQUIRED SKILLS Someone who has expertise in developing cloud hosted REST services in Java spring boot . Leadership qualities is another area that we need for this role. Angular and deployment of Cloud pipelines can be a plus but not required.

1) strong communication, ability to lead a technical development team (must be 100% hands-on, this is not a people manager role)

2) Java/Spring Boot (developing cloud hosted REST services in current project)

3) Docker/Kubernetes (must have experience with containerization in current project)

4) AWS (must have hands-on experience with all major services within AWS - must be using in current project)

5) CI/CD pipelines : need to have some exposure to building Jenkins pipelines (okay if they're not an expert)

The Expertise and Skills You Have

• A degree in a Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related subject area.

• Expert level knowledge in developing cloud-hosted REST services in Java/Spring Boot that integrate seamlessly with multiple UI app tiers (legacy and modern).

• Proven experience with developing and deploying applications to cloud using technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS cloud deployment/application management

• 8+ years' proven experience in building enterprise web and middle tier application using Java/JEE, Spring Boot, and REST services

• Self-starter and Self-sufficient developer able to work independently under minimum supervision and own the outcome of delivering high value solutions.

• strong communications and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with unit testing and test automation libraries/strategies.

• Experience with Angular is a plus.

• Experience building and deploying applications using continuous integration pipelines and automated deployment tools such as Jenkins Core and Terraform.

• Experience using source control and pull requests for collaborative development in code repository tools such as GitHub.

• Develop high quality, maintainable software solutions in an agile environment to meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
