The Opportunity

The Infrastructure Reliability Engineer provides tier one technical support for the operation of the Global Operations Command Center in Quezon City, Philippines, in accordance with established goals and procedures. The analyst will complete activities associated with providing the 24/7/365 operations required to maintain Manulife’s infrastructure and IT services by identifying, analyzing, and prioritizing events and incidents and completing service requests and BAU tasks.

As part of a 24/7/365 operation, this is an Office based shift role.

Shift patterns are based on 11-hour shifts alternating between early and night shifts. Shift patterns may change or revert to 8-hour shifts as management and business needs change.

Minimum Requirements to Hire:

  • EDUCATION: High School/Senior High/Vocational Course/1-year completed in a Bachelor's program with relevant work experience of at least 2 years; Bachelor's Degree holders are welcome to apply

  • EXPERIENCE: 1- 3 years of relevant experience

  • SCHEDULE: 24x7 rotating shift

  • LOCATION: Amenability to work in U.P. Ayala Land Technohub, Quezon City

  • WORK ARRANGEMENT : Full Onsite Set-up

Minimum Skills to Hire:

  • 1 to 3 years’ experience in supporting applications in production environments running on Linux or Windows.

  • ITIL v3 Foundation Certification

  • Experience in Microsoft Azure

  • AZ900 Certification is a plus

  • Experience in working with IaaS and PaaS in Microsoft Azure such as Managed SQL web apps, etc

  • Preferably knowledge in SQL administration and IIS administration

  • Documentation and administration skills

  • Experience in monitoring and basic troubleshooting

  • Knowledge in Incident Management and Problem Management

  • Automation mindset

  • Confident in engaging with other teams in joint troubleshooting

  • Professional with good communication skills

  • Relevant experience from working in DevOps organizations

  • Eager to learn and develop new skills

On the Job you will:

  • Monitoring infrastructure components on-premise and in the cloud

  • Performing daily system activities

  • Jointly with a team provide 24/7 operational services

  • 1st Level support for issues related to infrastructure including IaaS and PaaS components

  • Performs system checks and basic maintenance plans

  • Troubleshoots system operating problems and determine the cause of system interruptions

  • Assist Infrastructure/DevOps/Application Teams in creating and handling monitoring and troubleshooting tasks

  • Assist in the coordination and resolution of incidents

  • Document procedures
