First Health of the Carolinas Marketing Specialist in Pinehurst, North Carolina

Coordinates activities for all departmental functions and assists with external events and speaker requests. Coordinates organization and department activities as needed, i.e., health care week, other events/celebrations, hospital tours for outside groups, ordering of promotional products. Maintains departmental records for invoices and budget monitoring. Secures codes for invoices and credit card statements and routes for approval signatures and to AP for payment. Communicates with staff and provides assistance as needed with tracking of expenses to enable them to plan appropriate use of resources. Provides departmental database management services as appropriate and updates annual stats for the organization. Responsible for learning and operating in the organizations budget, purchasing and ordering systems.Assists with special projects as requested by all members of department. Reviews newspapers as clipping service for organization. Maintains records of articles and press releases as appropriate to needs. Maintains FirstHealth Speakers’ Bureau program as a marketing tool, keeps records of requests, fulfillment, and available programs. Monitors and evaluates success of programs and speakers by securing feedback from program coordinators. Coordinates blood drives for FHC in conjunction with OneBlood and FirstHealth lab staff. Distributes birth announcements monthly to local media outlets. Responsible for communications and promotions for internal service lines/accounts as designated by the administrative director. Assists copy center/creative services team with day-to-day operations, including scheduling, ordering supplies and finishing work and other copy center needs in the production environment. Provides coverage for office telephones, seeing that main departmental line is always answered by a “live” person and not forwarded to voice mail unless in emergency situations. Includes after-hours management of both main office number and “800” line. Develops and maintains departmental telephone policy as appropriate to meet needs. Develops procedure and provides coverage for call center, fulfilling requests as necessary and keeping log sufficient to monitor usage. Provides assistance to department in recordkeeping and fulfillment of call center requests. Maintains office master file for administrative matters. Maintains and keeps current departmental resources files, including Key Facts, regional telephone books and other directories as requested. Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of five years’ experience in office assistant, office manager, or related position. One to three years’ experience in health care industry and intermediate knowledge of marketing and communications.
