The Evergreen Packaging Pine Bluff Paper Mill is located in Pine Bluff, Arkanas, less than an hour from Little Rock in scenic southeast Arkansas. It is the largest industrial employer in Jefferson County. Opened in 1958, Pine Bluff is the largest facility within Evergreen Packaging and is home to the world's largest gable-top liquid packaging paperboard machine. In addition to producing paperboard for cartons, the facility also produces coated paper for magazines.

Responsibilities

Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing, planning, and scheduling mechanical/electrical maintenance activities in support of safety, production, cost, and availability goals of both the area and the mill reporting to an Area Maintenance or Department Manager.

This role is specific to supervising Shift GM/IE maintenance at the Pine Bluff Mill

Job Specific Responsibilities:

• Lead the safe and efficient execution of work orders by crewmembers including safety requirements in the job plan.

• Apply all applicable codes, regulations, reliability strategies, safety, environmental, and OEM standards.

• Manage work to include material needs, job scopes, resource assignments.

• Update area maintenance work orders in SAP as needed.

• Maintain accurate records for maintenance activities for work order and equipment history.

• Manage precision paperwork.

• Work within a team of production and maintenance personnel to achieve objectives and strategies along with tactical planning.

• Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, problem solving and decision-making skills, as well as initiative and the ability to delegate decision-making and other responsibilities.

• Answer shift calls and dispatch appropriate resources (all shift calls should go to foreman on Maintenance channel)

• Make sure a shift WO is entered, time is entered and W/O closed.

• Fill out shift report on SharePoint

• Manage Vacation and PH for shift

• Complete 1 ZES Audit, 1 Show Me Audit Per Month

• If call-outs are needed, it is expected that the Shift Foreman manage the call-outs for the affected area.

• Manage shift back-log

• If a job is going to cause more than 2 hours down-time Shift Foreman should let the Area Process Manager and the Area Maintenance Manger aware of the problem and the path forward.

• Hold shift personnel accountable for rolling stock check sheets on each shift

Evergreen Packaging may require satisfactory completion of certain job based assessments which candidates would be required to successfully complete in order to qualify for the position.

Qualifications

Essential/Required Qualifications:

• Two (2) years or more of experience in an industrial environment OR

• A two (2) year degree or higher in Industrial Mechanical/Electrical Maintenance and one (1) year experience in Industrial Mechanical Maintenance OR

• Three (3) years or more experience in Industrial Maintenance (Machinist, Millwright, Pipe Fitter, Welder, Instrumentation, Electrical).

• Must demonstrate knowledge and experience in basic maintenance tasks mechanical or electrical.

• Must be detail oriented and have excellent organizational skills

• Must be able to troubleshoot maintenance issues associated with common equipment and systems.

• Must be able to read prints and schematics

Desired/Preferred Qualifications:

• Paper Mill experience

• Good computer skills

• Working knowledge of SAP
