We're currently hiring for our client who is a leader in custom rebar fabrication and other reinforced steel products. They have been a stable business in the Ottawa area for over 40 years and has more business then it can handle right now going into the Summer 2024. Some of the products they manufacture are: reinforced steel bars, wire mesh, and rebar couplers.

Job Description:

You will be working outdoors on the production line, making steel rebar products. Initially, you will be trained on packing the orders (bundling, tagging, moving them down the line to make ready for pickup). Once you are comfortable, you will be trained on the cutting machine and crane to lift the bundles.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50lbs safely

• Basic math & measurement skills (using a tape measure)

• Willing to work outdoors year-round

• Experience working with metal/rebar is an asset

• Safety conscious

• Team player - you need to be a hard worker, take initiative and have great communication with the team!

Job Details:

• Days: Monday to Friday

• Shift: Mornings (7am - 4:30pm)

• Pay: $21.50

• Good potential for OT
