Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Maintenance Mechanic-Plumber, you will be responsible for general maintenance repairs within the facility, satellites and grounds. Under the direct supervision of the Facilities Supervisor, you will repair and maintain equipment in area of responsibility (plumbing) to include preventive maintenance, performance inspections and adjustments.

• You will be responsible for duties related to plumbing within the facility, including sewer equipment

• You will be proficient in plumbing and well rounded in a maintenance environment

• You will replace and run new plumbing piping

• You will respond promptly to all calls for emergency repairs.

• You will schedule and perform preventative maintenance according to procedure. Perform and document scheduled inspections and safety tests, maintaining code compliance. Performs major overhauls and rebuilds. Maintains equipment at optimum efficiency using accepted procedures.

• What qualifications you will need :

• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date

• Valid Drivers License with a clean Driving Record

• 3 to 5 years experience with emphasis in plumbing. Experience in a healthcare facility highly desirable.

• Trade school or equivalent
