Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret revenue data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Prepare detailed revenue reports and dashboards for management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and provide insights for revenue forecasting and planning.
- Monitor revenue streams and investigate discrepancies or variances.
- Assist in revenue recognition processes and ensure compliance with accounting standards (ASC 606).
- Participate in month-end and year-end financial close processes.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of revenue analytics tools and processes.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and support to the finance team as needed.
- Ability to drive innovation at reporting level with key systems
Your Competencies:
Impeccable attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to multi-task on a variety of complex projects.
Proficiency or experience in accounting software (e.g., SalesForce, Workday, Tableau) and advanced MS Excel skills.
Experience with revenue automation tools is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and communicate complex concepts to cross-functional teams.
Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
High ethical standards and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
Problem-solving skills and ability to drive innovation at the reporting level.
Your Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree required in Finance or Data Analytics
Experience at a global SaaS company preferred or enterprise software
company with many multiple element arrangements preferred
CPA or CPA candidate encouraged
The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $66,000 to $88,000.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
