Enterprise PMO Project Manager - Acquisitions

Ferguson is seeking an Enterprise PMO Project Manager - Acquisitions who will be a part of our Enterprise Project Management Organization.

This role will focus on leading and managing acquisition projects, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with our corporate strategies. This candidate should have a robust background in project management, specifically with experience in mergers, acquisitions, and integration projects.

Location:

This is a Hybrid role based out of Newport News, VA HQ, in accordance with the Ferguson Flex schedule; 3 days office / 2 days remote. May consider remote for the right individual outside of the Newport News area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all phases of acquisition projects from initiation through completion, ensuring projects align with strategic objectives and are delivered on time and within budget.

  • Lead the integration of acquired entities, focusing on both cultural and operational integration.

  • Conduct thorough due diligence, risk assessment, and collaborator management throughout the lifecycle of the acquisition.

  • Coordinate activities with internal teams and external advisors to ensure comprehensive project coverage.

  • Create and maintain strong relationships with key partners to ensure alignment and support for acquisition strategies.

  • Prepare detailed project plans, status reporting and provide accountability to senior management and other key partners.

  • Identify and resolve complex issues that arise during the acquisition process, applying advanced problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.

  • Support the strategic objectives of the business by ensuring that acquisition projects enhance organizational value and capabilities.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree OR 4+ years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

  • PMP Certification highly desirable.

  • 7+ years' experience in traditional project management.

  • Solid track record of managing large-scale projects successfully.

  • Strong understanding of due diligence, compliance, and integration of operational processes.

  • Experience understanding differing company cultures and integrating teams.

  • Strong presentation skills, both written and verbal.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and project management software.

  • Ability to lead and manage teams in a matrixed and remote environment.

Pay Range:

$7,425.00 - $12,100.00

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
