Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Procurement Specialist role in the environmental consulting industry, headquartered in New York. The role involves efficiently handling the procurement process from requisition to Purchase Order issuance in a fast-paced environment. The individual will be working closely with project accountants and other stakeholders, resolving any procurement-related issues or discrepancies.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and review requisitions for accuracy and completeness.

• Verify executed documents and ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.

• Generate Purchase Orders accurately and in a timely manner.

• Maintain high standards of quality while handling a substantial amount of Purchase Orders daily.

• Collaborate closely with project accountants to address any procurement-related issues or discrepancies.

• Maintain detailed records and documentation of procurement transactions.

• Apply excellent communication skills to interact with project accountants and other stakeholders.

• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

• Utilize skills such as Documentation, Procurement, and Purchase Orders to perform daily task

Requirements

• Familiarity in procurement processes and strategies

• Knowledge and experience with purchase orders

• Ability to maintain and manage documentation related to procurement activities

• Strong attention to detail

• Experience in Oracle Horizon (+)

• Good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, projects and deadlines

• Strong problem-solving skills to address procurement related issues and conflicts
