Description

We are looking for a passionate, world-class product leader to lead IMDb Publisher Monetization for Amazon Advertising. This leader will collaborate closely with the IMDb publisher teams to create and manage advertising supply and implement yield management practices to deliver long-term advertising revenue growth that balances the needs of IMDb users with those of advertising customers. They will also own and deliver on critical SVP and/or S-Team level goals, insisting on high standards from their partner engineering teams to deliver results.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills and be able to identify problems and develop solutions. They must have strong analytical capabilities with a process improvement mentality. Cross-team coordination, project management, executive communication, and presentation skills are required.

Key job responsibilities

  • Own successful delivery of monetization initiatives for IMDb, leading cross-functional teams across Ads and IMDb to deliver impact

  • Drive strategic and technical alignment with partner teams spanning multiple lines of business, including IMDb and various Ads stakeholders

  • Lead weekly business reviews and manage to a core set of metrics and KPIs for the business

  • Deliver short- and long-term goals spanning multiple key programs under your product leadership

  • Maintain strong business & technical vision for your teams and consistently push teams to deliver with the highest standards.

  • Lead and influence across different organizations and align diverse teams to a common goal

A day in the life

As Principal Product Management - Technical, you will lead through influence, collaborating with a team of software developers to deliver on your product vision and roadmap for IMDb Publisher Monetization. You will thrive in leading complex product initiatives across internal teams and stakeholders to prioritize features while spearheading the definition of new capabilities through product and technical design documents. You are able to drive initiatives independently while effectively influencing across organizations. You have a high level of comfort with ambiguity and a deeply analytical mindset with the ability to investigate complex challenges. You work backwards from the customer, dive deep into data to understand the issues, and drive product development to deliver collaboratively with your teams and partners.

About the team

The Amazon Publisher Monetization team is responsible for driving profitability of Amazon’s owned and operated publishers through use of advertising. We strive to deliver an engaging, relevant and personalized ad experience to best balance the needs of consumers with those of our advertiser customers. We do this by building scalable and automated products that serve the needs of our customers.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of end to end product delivery experience

  • 8+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience technical product management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements

  • Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $144,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
