Robert Half Office Services Associate in New York, New York

Description We are offering a role within the telecom industry, based in New York, New York, for a General Office Clerk. This is a short term contract employment opportunity, where you will be deeply involved in providing back office services, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Process and maintain accurate customer credit records.

• Resolve customer credit inquiries and monitor customer credit accounts.

• Utilize appropriate logs for all office services work.

• Ensure job tickets are properly filled out before beginning work.

• Perform work in office services, primarily mail, digital reprographics and intake functions.

• Prioritize workflow and perform quality assurance on own work.

• Load machines with various paper and toner supplies.

• Answer telephone, emails and place service calls when needed.

• Adhere to policies and use equipment and supplies in a cost-efficient manner.

• Handle sensitive and/or confidential documents and information.

• Interact with clients in person, over the phone or electronically.

• Troubleshoot basic equipment problems. Requirements • Demonstrated experience in the role of a General Office Clerk or similar role

• Proficiency in operating office machinery including scanners, fax machines, and other office equipment

• Excellent customer service skills, with experience in answering inbound calls and handling service calls

• Knowledge of office functions, operations, and procedures

• Ability to troubleshoot common issues and provide workstation support

• Experience in supervising a team or a project

• Capability to maintain logs and records diligently

• Proficiency in scanning and digitizing documents

• Ability to ensure quality assurance in all tasks

• Willingness to work overtime as required

• Solid communication skills, both written and verbal

• Experience with receptionist duties including managing incoming calls and visitor reception

• Familiarity with hiring processes and policies

• Proficiency in distributing faxes and managing paper documentation

• Ability to work effectively in a digital environment

• Experience in managing facilities and ensuring a clean and efficient workspace

• Ability to adapt to new software and technology quickly.
