RELX INC Senior Fianncial Reporting and Planning Analyst-1 in Manila, Philippines

As a member of the global Centre of Expertise, the role will be responsible for providing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis and reporting of revenue for Elsevier business unit: Reference Solutions (under Health Science).

Reporting to the Business Controller, CoE Sales & Revenue, this role will support the S&R and Reference Solutions Finance teams by maintaining and developing dashboards and ad-hoc reporting using Elsevier's Planning and Budgetting Tools (including HFM) as well as our Sales Data Warehouse system based on OBIEE. You will assists the Business Controller in current practices and monthly & quarterly and yearly deliverables and develop tools to improve and standardise reporting, analysis and insights of the Elsevier Business.

This role will assist in ad-hoc projects and queries and help other Analysts and Business Controllers with their day-to-day operational responsibilities (e.g. due to absence, and/or other Elsevier wide project(s) putting demand on the finance resource pool in the CoE Sales & Revenue). In this role you will be required to have well developed analytical skills, be a self-starter, possess a can do mentality, and be a quick learner in a complex and demanding environment.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related area.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in financial reporting, planning, and analysis (revenue, cost, expense); with actual experience in budgeting and providing commentaries

• Strong analytical skills, a self-starter with "can do" mentality; quick learner in a complex and demanding environment.

• Excellent knowledge and understanding of financial and management accounting, process and systems.

• Affinity with large and complex international working environment; ability to travel occasionally.

• Commercial and organizational awareness, ideally in a comparable industry.

• Good communication skills.
