Description

We are inviting applications for a Construction Accounting Manager for our client located in Lincoln, Nebraska. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the accounting functions, ensuring accuracy of financial transactions, and supporting the overall growth of our company. Offering an exciting opportunity, this role involves overseeing various accounting functions, from accounts payable and receivable to auditing and billing. This is a full time opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the timely and accurate billing, purchase orders and take-off procedures in collaboration with sales, estimating, purchasing, and construction teams.

• Manage construction down payment, billing, and collection processes.

• Prepare, send, and manage invoices to customers.

• Maintain precise records of all incoming payments, payment applications, and vendor payments.

• Reconcile any discrepancies in receipts.

• Oversee all vendor invoices tied to sales and construction jobs for parts/equipment billing, payment, and collections.

• Communicate with billing account managers and sales account managers as needed to ensure payment of outstanding invoices.

• Analyze accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to ensure payment accuracy.

• Investigate and ensure that parts costs are expensed to the correct job.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Business preferred

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role within the accounting function in the construction industry.

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions.

• Ability to manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Familiarity with Billing Functions.

• Understanding of WIP - Work In Progress.

• Experience with AIA Billing and AIA Documents.
