This position is on sight Monday through Friday, 8 hour shifts. This role is salaried and AM start times may adjust based on clinical and meeting demand.

  • Responsible for ensuring full adherence to accreditation standards for Comprehensive Stroke Center

  • We have robust processes that relate to specific standards, this person oversees those processes (understands them, monitors adherence, checks in to be sure when fallouts happen, why, and re-educates to the standards)

  • Monitors data tracking to ensure adherence to the standards

  • Initiates process improvement with providers and staff when/if standards are not being met

  • Responsible for relationships and outreach to EMS partners, community wellness partners, and other entities

  • Might involve education, wellness events, etc.

  • Important for us as EMS partners are our major source of stroke referrals

  • Oversees ongoing site-specific program responsibilities such as outlier data, the concurrent stroke patient data log, and some staff education

  • Rounds on the care units

  • Attends stroke alerts

  • Participates in stroke rounds

  • Leads Stroke Council – a monthly meeting overseeing program analysis and data review, new process improvement work, and service line and industry updates

Qualifications:

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • Bachelor’s in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing, Required.

  • RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact,

  • Colorado Only: RNs working in Colorado under a multi-state license must obtain their CO RN license within 30 days of establishing residency, i.e., drivers license, register to vote, etc. Compact to Compact.   • BLS from the American Heart Association required.

  • Certification in applicable professional clinical specialty or nursing administration required upon hire or within 6 months (such as CNML), required .

  • Minimum 5 years in acute care nursing preferred

  • Advanced knowledge in nursing, evidence-based practice methods, and person-centered care concepts, required.

  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and requirements.

  • MSN or Master’s degree preferred.

  • Background in nursing and data management, preferred. Experience with care of stroke patients, highly preferred.

  • Experience with stroke patients highly preferred.

  • Previous leadership experience, preferred.

Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
