Position Summary:

The assistant coach reports to the head coach and will assist in all facets of the program to ensure a quality program and successful NCAA Division I team

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Coaching

• Recruiting

• Opponent scouting

• Player development

• Arranging team travel

• Video tasks

• Scheduling camps

• Community relations

• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of University, Sun Belt Conference and NCAA rules and procedures

General Days/Hours:

Monday - Friday

8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Additional hours as requested and/or needed

Regular and reliable attendance

Other:

The assistant coach has contact with student-athletes, athletics personnel, as well as institutional administrative personnel. Travel to conferences and professional development sessions

Minimum Qualifications:

An earned Bachelor's Degree with prior successful coaching experience
