Unilever Production Supervisor - Area Lead in Jefferson City, Missouri

The Area Lead is responsible for driving current and future manufacturing performance in the areas of Safety, Productivity, Cost, Quality, Delivery and Morale using WCM operating framework. The Area Lead role will have 24/7 ownership of the performance of a designated line/team in the factory including driving towards zero loss within Safety and Quality, achieving OEE (Operational Equipment Efficiency) and Attainment targets. S/he are required to lead autonomously, motivate and develop their technical leads and technical operators.

Essential Functions:

Accountable for the line’s performance of the following:

Safety

100% completion of risk assessments

Execution of the f-tag and Root Cause Analysis (SHE-EWO) processes

Completion of any incident or near miss Root Cause Analyses (SHE-EWO) actions< 1 week

Ensure team is abiding by all plant SHE policies and standards

Quality

Reduction of top loss through focused improvement

Execution of CRQS, SNCR and Root Cause Analysis (Q-EWO) processes

Completion of any incident Root Cause Analyses (Q-EWO) actions< 1 week

World class execution of 5S and GMP

Productivity

Lead weekly leadership team meeting for line (technical leads, RE) to ensure strategic alignment glide path with line plan as well as overall factory plan

Participate in the development and subsequent delivery of the strategic improvement plan to execute monthly OEE targets for the line

Timely completion of all breakdown Root Cause Analyses (EWO) and actions

Improvement of root cause analysis quality and timely close-out of EWOs

Participate in the development and subsequent delivery of the AM and PM strategy for the line

Participate in daily planning meeting to ensure alignment to both tactical and strategic line plan

Cost/Labor

Manage line labor to budget

Employee Development

Set clear goals and objectives for line team members

Understand training needs and implement a comprehensive training plan for technical leads and technical operators to support autonomous team strategy

Complete timely performance reviews

Data Integrity

Understand Rapid data entry, reporting, and reconciliation

Ability to coach others on proper usage

Understand the theory of operations of the equipment and implement sustained improvements

Engineering/Innovation

Support the planning and execution of trials and engineering projects per line plan and OEE target

Each Area Lead will have a WCM pillar function in which they will champion for the pack team

This is a developmental role that could lead to increasing leadership within Unilever. In this role you will be challenged to develop your line leadership team and ensure performance and loss elimination across all shifts. This position will require knowledge of the operations environment and experience developing teams.

Minimum Education and Experience:

·College degree or currently pursuing college level educational opportunities preferred

·Operational leadership experience preferred

·Computer, analytical, written and oral communication skills required
