Role Summary:

As the Senior Executive Director, you’ll play a pivotal role in expanding ManTech’s footprint in United States Army Markets, with a keen focus on delivering high end technology and engineering solutions including: App Modernization/ Cloud Migration, predictive and contested logistics, Mission Operations Support/ Help desk, App Maintenance/ Agile/ DEVSECOPS, Digital Engineering implementation, Process Improvement/Automation, Deployed Support Infrastructure. The team you will lead is critical to achieving the Defense organization’s vision to be recognized as a critical mission partner to DoD and the premier provider of digital modernization services and strategies.

You will lead and inspire a team of Army BD executives, cultivating a pipeline for growth and reporting directly to the Senior Executive Director for our Joint Army, Air Force, Space Force, Marine and 4th Estate (JAASM4) Growth Organization. You will also align closely to the Army Division Manager who has established a segment strategy which will inform near and long-term business strategies and opportunity pursuits.

Your charge:

  • Manage and develop the Army business development team. Foster a culture of client-first engagement and relationship building, focused on mission outcomes, robust engagement, account growth, and unwavering commitment to excellence.

  • Leverage a deep mission understanding of customer’s needs and objectives focused in the areas of Digital Engineering, Mission/Enterprise IT; data analytics, automation and AI.

  • Translate market trends into compelling capture strategies, levering your deep understanding of the Army domain to drive innovative solutions.

  • Empower your team to meet and exceed business and financial goals aligned to ManTech’s annual operating plan and long-range strategy, encouraging active engagement with influencers and decision makers at target agencies and industry conferences and events.

  • Establish strong networks, building on your existing relationships to pursue Army contracts in a highly competitive market. Leverage these relationships to gain access to top Army operational and acquisition leaders.

  • Serve as a “player-coach,” both leading and guiding your team while also taking the front-line business development role for strategic and critical pursuits. Lead from the front with compassion and thoughtfulness, embodying the spirit of inclusive and transformational leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

  • +15 years overall experience, with a minimum 5 years of military or civil service experience and 5 years relevant business experience

  • Minimum of 5-7 years demonstrated success in sales or business development in Army markets, with strong business acumen and experience with government contracting processes.

  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels of client seniority.

  • Proven track record of leading and executing account management for large, complex captures.

  • 25% travel required on a national and international basis.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Active duty military experience, particularly in the United States Army.

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Experience with GSA FEDSIM bids.

Clearance Requirement:

  • Active Secret Clearance, Top Secret preferred

  • US Citizen

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time.

  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer.

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

The projected compensation range for this position is $154,900-$257,800. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, ManTech invests in it’s employees beyond just compensation.
