Ayden Healthcare of Greenville is a skilled nursing facility looking to add an experienced Maintenance Director to our team. The primary purpose of this role is to coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance Department up to and including the hands-on completions of necessary repair work in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility, as may be directed by the facility Administrator and to assure that our facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc. and maintain appearance of work areas; must perform regular inspections of resident rooms/units for order, safety, and proper performance of equipment
  • Must be knowledgeable of maintenance practices and procedures in nursing care facilities
  • Must posses the ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and to accept constructive criticism when circumstances warrant such actions
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and general public
  • Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc of the Maintenance Department
  • Must posses leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel
  • Must be a supportive team member
  • Must posses the ability to display patience, tact, cheerful deposition and enthusiasm, as well be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning
  • Must posses the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practice
  • Must be able to keep Life safety books up to date and lead in disaster drills and in-services as needed
  • Must maintain grounds keeping around facility
  • Must maintain proper floor care within the facility
  • Must be able to complete all other task as assigned by the administrator

Qualifications:

  • Prior nursing home experience preferred
  • General knowledge of electrical
  • General knowledge of plumbing
  • Must be mechanically inclined
  • Self starting, outgoing, motivated personality
