JOB SUMMARY: Organizes, supervises, coordinates, and monitors the daily operations of the Home Delivered Meals Program for older adults and individuals with disabilities throughout Brown County. Supports volunteers who provide services within the nutrition program. Essential Duties MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Contributes to the successful operations of the Nutrition Program through effective communication with Nutrition Program staff, volunteers, and community partners. Maintains regular communication and check-ins with the Nutrition Program Coordinator. Program Oversight Assures all Nutrition Program guidelines, responsibilities, and oversight requirements are followed and occur. Ensures ServSafe guidelines are followed. Supervises the packaging, delivery, and clean-up of the Home Delivered Meals Program. Assists with in-person home visits including filling out applications, assessments, and reassessments to determine customer eligibility. Acts as a liaison with community partners including vendors, employment programs, volunteer groups and other community resources. Maintains accurate participation records, volunteer records, meal orders, maps and routes, as well as other matters essential to the operations of the program. Data Entry and Reporting Assure program tracking, data entry, customer records, and volunteer contacts are accurate and timely. Assure reports are completed and available for analysis. Reviews, enters, and maintains data in ADRC\'s software programs. Participates in the development of data collection tools and processes. Volunteer Management Participates in the recruiting, screening, and orientation for all Nutrition Program volunteers. Maintains scheduling and communication with volunteer drivers. Oversees volunteers assisting in the packaging of meals and ensures proper food safety protocol is being followed. Participates in the planning for annual volunteer recognition and communicates with volunteers regarding annual forms. Responds to \"red flags\" and all emergency situations involving volunteers and clients with mature and calm actions. ADRC Staff Functions Attends staff meetings and in-service training courses in order to deliver the program effectively, efficiently and in compliance with applicable regulations. Participates in and assures all HDM staff are scheduled for the quarterly information and planning meetings for the Nutrition Program. Supports and provides insight into the expansion and development of the Central Kitchen. Provides input, collaboration on needs and planning for a new service model. Participates in the planning and goal setting efforts of the ADRC. Participates in the work setting as a team player and adhering ADRC Mission, Vision, and Values. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge, kills and Abilities: Knowledge of quality food service standards and food specifications. Knowledge of proper food storage and food service equipment. Knowledge of basic management practices and techniques. Knowledge of state, federal and local regulations regarding home delivered meals. Knowledge of computer programs for proper recordkeeping and reporting. Knowledge of volunteer supervision. Ability to understand the confidential nature of the position and maintain confidential information. Ability to plan and organize programs and manage staff. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, customers and volunteers. Ability to make decisions in accordance with recognized policies and procedures. Ability to relate to customers, act as an advocate, and address difficult situations in a tactful manner. Ability to promote volunteer needs and participate in recruitment, training, reporting and retention.
