Defense Media Activity Support Coordinator in Fort Meade, Maryland

Summary This position is part of the Defense Media Activity. The incumbent will be responsible for serving as a Support Coordinator responsible for managing, coordinating, and providing a variety of administrative and management functions to include extensive knowledge and understanding of contracting management and procurement process and procedures. Responsibilities As a Support Coordinator at the GS-0301-12 some of your typical work assignments may include: Manages the tracking of all DINFOS contracts and the timelines associated with key contract requirements. Utilizing, advising, and operating in the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE), Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) and the Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI) Portal. Performs a variety of projects to include: the process and procedures of acquisition strategies, market research, contract types and cost estimates; preparation and requirements of Statements of Work (SOW)/Performance Work Statements (PWS). Serves as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR); provides advise in the requirements, responsibilities and actions of a COR. Leads, assists and advises in contract kick-off initiation, contract management and oversight, contract modification processes and evaluation. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications You may qualify at the GS-12, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service: Utilizing a broad range of procurement and acquisition processes, contract development. Initiating procurement request, contract implementation, funding processes and approvals. Executing the processes and actions of a trusted agent to include credentialing, coordination, scheduling, and processing of the trusted associate sponsorship system. Applying knowledge of the Government Purchase Program within the duties and requirements of an Approving/Billing Official (A/BO) in the review, approval and certification of cardholder account statements. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
