RESPONSIBILITIES

I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the daily activities of the Imaging Assistants to ensure optimum workflow and operational efficiencies.

• Provides work leadership and serves as a resource to staff; assures staff’s proficiency in all procedures.

• Researches billing compliance issues.

• Performs duties of an Imaging Assistant.

II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Essential: standing, walking, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, pushing/pulling usual weight of 20 pounds up to 50 pounds, reaching above, at, and below shoulder level, repetitive arm/hand motions, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods, frequent gripping of an object.

• Continuous: stooping/bending. Frequent: sitting.

• Occasional: kneeling, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, squatting, twisting body, lifting and carrying weight of 10 pounds up to 20 pounds. Operates telephone and various imaging information systems equipment.

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.

• Minimal exposure to patients who receive radioactive materials.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

• Associate’s degree in business, information systems or related field and one (1) year work experience with imaging information systems.

OR

• High school diploma or equivalent and three (3) years work experience with imaging information systems.

B. EXPERIENCE:

• Prior acute care hospital experience highly desirable, preferably in a comparable medical center.

• Experience to demonstrate strong attention to detail, accuracy and process adherence.

• Prior leadership experience preferred.
