ENTRUST Solutions Group Design Technician II (Make Ready Coordinator) in Englewood, Colorado

Description

What You’ll Do:

  • GPS survey, overhead line locating, inspections, testing, and documentation of power distribution and other related facilities.

  • Engagement with clients or local authorities to identify scope of make ready related tasks.

  • Complete design task for associated utility design projects. Tasks include but are not limited to drafting, engineering calculations, easement validation; design/construction cost estimating & permit package development.

  • Utilize and review aerial utility collection software and/or Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for update or conflict.

  • Learn and incorporate company safety rules and policies, company design standards and governing authority regulations into daily work and designs. Designs will meet all requirements of applicable company safety standards, company distribution construction standards, and governing authority regulations.

Required Qualifications: ·

  • High School Diploma required.

  • 2-5 years of make ready engineering, make ready construction, or utility experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical certificate in drafting or other technical skill preferred.

  • NESC or GO95 electric safety requirements preferred.

  • Aerial utility collection software (Katapult, Ike, etc.) preferred.

  • Pole loading analysis software (OCalc, SpidaCalc, Pole Foreman, etc.) preferred.

  • Basic design understanding of CAD or GIS systems preferred.
