Unilever Senior Reward and Compensation Analyst in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey

Background & Purpose of the Job

The North America Total Rewards Team is small team responsible for designing, developing and activating Reward programs and polices for both the US and Canada. We provide business insight and develop flexible and innovative solutions and risk analysis. We are experts offering insights and challenge while delivering solutions flawlessly.

We are seeking a Senior Compensation Analyst to be responsible for leading Reward Data analytics. Projects include but are not limited to: review of current compensation structure, optimizing Workday reward capabilities, and the implementation of our new Total Rewards System. The Senior Compensation Analyst will develop and conduct analysis such as compensation statistics, project analytics in addition to modeling and testing market comparisons. They will assist and collaborate, as appropriate, in the planning, coordination, facilitation, administration, and reporting as well as act as an expert system resource for the annual compensation review process. In addition, they will assist in transformational projects for the Reward Team.

Who You Are & What You’ll Do

This role will report to the NA Total Reward & Canadian Benefits Manager and have responsibilities for both the US and Canada. They will own and drive analytics and processes to enable Reward conscious business decisions. There is an aspect of Reward administration with opportunities to improve efficiencies.

You’re a paradox navigator: Rewards is constantly balancing between attracting, retaining and motivating employees while managing cost implications. This role will be critical in analyzing the constant rebalancing of the Total Rewards package.

You’re a culture & change champion: We continuously review our reward structure and policies to adapt to the needs of the business as well as the external market. This role will be a change leader, helping to communicate and implement new Reward offerings in addition to changes to existing policies.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

  • Strong analytic skills required. Significant Excel experience (pivot tables and vlookup at a minimum; VBA/macros experience is an asset)

  • Excellent systems background with a working knowledge of Workday, Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, Teams and state of the art desktop applications including web-based systems.

  • Must be detail oriented, with excellent quantitative/analytical, data management, organizational, research and project management skills.

  • Technical and analytical expertise including ability to apply logic, problem solve and deliver results on complex data analysis. Strong organization and interpersonal skills; the ability to interpret and report on data in a clear, concise way that reflects business acumen

  • Must have sound interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, and be able to deal effectively with all levels of management and employees.

  • Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Demonstrate strong initiative and exercise good judgment and resourcefulness.

  • Possess excellent time management skills, ability to juggle multiple tasks, agility to adapt to shifting/multiple priorities and deadlines, the maturity to handle sensitive information and manipulate large data sets while maintaining data integrity.
