Your Role

The consumer learning team partners with the brand teams on brand strategy, brand communication, and innovation that provide Upfield with a competitive advantage in the marketplace. This role…

  • Covers total North America (US & Canada)
  • Represents the voice of the consumer within the project team. Consumer advocate first!
  • Requires a creative spark for innovation and communication projects
  • Is an expert on concept development, product/concept testing, brand architecture, and white space development
  • Has worked with established research suppliers (IPSOS, SKIM, Millward Brown, etc.) and new innovative emerging suppliers

This role with also have a strong analytics partner within CMI

RESPONSIBILITIES

Become an indispensable business partner with the brand teams, R&D, and Global Upfield CMI

Inspire research suppliers to consistently deliver their best efforts: deliver actionable, clear, value-added understanding . Day to day activities include:

  • Leading the planning, coordination and implementation of North American research activities for a brand(s). Scope of responsibilities includes mix development, innovation, and strategy.
  • Develop Brand and Consumer insight expertise. And, apply this knowledge to build growth.
  • Leading insight and idea brainstorming sessions for the local team and key regions.
  • Developing research proposals, suggesting research methodologies, and getting them executed through the team and suppliers.

REQUIREMENTS

Undergraduate degree required.

10 years of relevant consumer/market research experience

Ability to travel 10%

A passion for understanding consumers

Brand Architecture

Concept Development Experience

White Space Development

Heavy qualitative research experience

Product Testing expertise (traditional and innovative approaches)

Proven skills in insight, concept, product and/or advertising development

Experience leading and managing others

Creative thinker

Strong interpersonal skills

Flexible, diplomatic Team player!
