Unilever Ecommerce Associate Manager in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey

Background & Purpose of the Job

The Omnichannel Field Associate Manager is responsible for embedding ecommerce business operations into the way we manage multiple strategic customer relationships, and rapidly growing their omnichannel turnover and share. This role will accelerate Unilever’s ecommerce sales by developing, enabling, and operating omnichannel businesses at scale.

Who You Are & What You’ll Do

The Ecommerce Associate Manager will collaborate with the Omnichannel Field Team Lead to develop an informed point of view on what is needed to drive ecommerce growth at a group of our medium and small-sized retailers. The Associate Manager will then engage with the Field to execute the retailer specific jobs-to-be-done to drive commercial results for Unilever. In partnership with the key Customer Development teams, the Ecommerce Associate Manager will determine the retailer-specific goals, areas of opportunity, and growth drivers, and then work with the Omni Customer Business Teams (CBMs) to turn the plans into action. Bringing knowledge of ecommerce to the table is key to drive the conversation with retailers and help to upskill the broader field organization. They will share accountability for turnover, share, and perfect store online metrics with the Omni CBMs.

He or she will be key talent for digital leadership positions in the future. He or she needs to be a disruptive thinker who can see opportunities and inspire the team to deliver, but also an operator who can navigate the organization efficiently, identifying any roadblocks that may arise.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of industry experience in CPG within sales/customer development or business/account management roles

  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in owning/meeting commercial targets

  • Ability to forecast sales and manage trade investment and return on investment

  • Working knowledge of ecommerce retail basics, traffic and conversion drivers, search, the consumer’s path to purchase journey, and omnichannel customer models

  • Prior experience in ecommerce sales or buying
