Unilever Direct to Consumer Finance Manager in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey

The US DTC / DTM Finance Manager will lead all financial and controls activities related to Unilever Direct to Consumer and Direct to Marketplace (3P) businesses. You will work collectively with the business DTC and DTM teams to manage end-to-end P&Ls across multiple portfolios, whether managed by the eCommerce DTC team or by other brand / business teams. You will help pioneer a new fleet of businesses that will connect and engage our consumers in innovative ways. You will develop, review, and consolidate long term financial plans, investments, and monthly deliverables that drive sustainable, profitable growth. You will standardize and improve processes and share best practices that drive sustainable improvements and actionable results. You will help assess third party services such as logistics, tax, and payment processors, and lead and own any financial setup and processing for the business. You will provide senior management with recommendations and input on key financial and performance metrics that optimize short and long-term goals and support strategic initiatives. You will identify areas of risk and opportunity and be responsible for the integrity of the financial statements and compliance with Unilever controls and policies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Create Operations and Controls Framework for DTC / DTM businesses at Unilever, in partnership with Controllers, the Finance Excellence Team, Finance Business Partnering, IT, Legal, Global, Supply Chain, Procurement, and other functional input and support – for both existing and new businesses.

  • Act as the Finance Liaison for all DTC / DTM processes including but not limited to ERP needs (Netsuite, SAP, etc), accounting reviews, pre- and post- acquisition support, and financial reconciliation and entry support

  • Business Partner DTC / DTM businesses including: own and develop business cases for new propositions, develop new financial / operational models, own and drive weekly / monthly financial performance management (forecast and actuals), and own and drive finance operations from beta to full scale launch for new propositions.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field

  • MBA, CPA or CMA is strongly preferred

  • 6+ years of Finance experience, with some experience in financial controls, financial reporting, financial planning, strategic planning and annual budgeting preferred.

  • Experience in a position of monitoring, managing, manipulating and drawing insights from data

  • Experience in a Fortune 500 consumer products or other multi-national firm is preferred

  • Working knowledge of data mining principles: predictive analytics, mapping, collecting data from multiple data systems on premises and cloud-based data sources.

  • Attention to detail in the development of management quality reporting and analytics for executive-level personnel

  • Proven strong financial analysis skills; technical corporate finance, accounting, and valuation skills

  • Experience with financial, eCommerce data and visualization tools including but not limited to Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Power BI, Tableau, Shopify Salesforce Commerce Cloud, etc

  • Experience with SAP (COPA, BW, ECCS)
