Unilever Associate Sales Operations Manager in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey

Background & Purpose of the Job:

As an Associate Sales Operations Manager (ASOM), the candidate will be a key decision maker in the selling process of UFS. The position plays a critical in prioritizing our go to market channel investments, liaising between Sales and our Finance functions to optimize our pricing and negotiation efficiency.

The focus of this position:

  • Provide investment decision support to CD Business Development leadership, in assessing price return on new business opportunities, competition’s risks and customer growth and profitability improvement initiatives.

  • Support Food Solutions’ Sales LT, acting as a key finance liaison in the decision making process in the execution of the Channel Investment Strategy.

  • Support the CD Sales team in the transparent understanding of targets, scenario analysis and business planning.

  • Partner with CD Regional Teams in managing and prioritizing customer trade and marketing investments, ensuring proper allocation of resources and adherence to spending targets.

  • Conduct detailed profitability analysis aimed at improving sales contribution through optimized investment levels and improved product mix.

  • Contribute to the development of channel and customer strategy. Drive visibility of category, customer and channel performance (i.e. profitability).

  • Improve overall financial acumen of RSMs in the channel through training on key subjects including ROI, customer and trade profitability.

What You’ll Need To Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related area preferred.

  • 3 to 5 years of related experience in sales or sales finance business partnering

  • Experience in food service industry preferred

  • Must be highly analytical with the ability to provide solutions based on numbers and data analysis

  • Must have the ability to tackle complex situations, evaluate alternative courses of action, and provide fact based solutions/recommendations.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects / processes at one time.

  • Must be able to handle increasingly more responsibility as new platforms are launched.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytic skills

  • Knowledge of customer, data, systems and ability to analyze info and trends to make recommendations. Working knowledge of Sales force a plus
