Unilever Associate Brand Manager – Hellmann’s Core Innovations in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey

Background & Purpose of the Job

With more than 100 years of experience, Hellmann’s is the leading condiments brand in the US with enormous brand equity and strong margins. Currently, Hellmann’s is a $1 billion business with a huge growth agenda to make it a condiments powerhouse.

The Hellmann’s Innovations marketing team is looking for an outstanding candidate to drive the brand development agenda – its communication strategy and innovation roadmap – with a consumer centric, robust innovations pipeline.

The role requires a real foodie, someone who is passionate about food, market trends and sustainability. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, a passion for consumer trends, and a mix of both analytical and creative thinking skills. Experiences working in leading cross-functional teams, project management, market analysis and budget management will be valued. The team is fun and has a glass half full attitude. The ideal candidate will also exhibit that positive attitude.

Who You Are & What You’ll Do

You will partner with the Hellmann’s Marketing (global and operational) and numerous cross-functional teams (Research & Development, Consumer Market Insights, Finance, Supply Chain and Customer Development, among others)

  • Own the Core Mayo and Flavor Exploration Platform by developing and launching robust innovations for Hellmann’s in 2020 - 2025

  • Lead innovation project management/supply chain strategy

  • Translate consumer and shopper insights into product and channel strategies

  • Create persuasive and relevant communication platforms to support the innovations

  • Work closely with customer and channel development teams to successfully deliver new innovations in store with channel differentiation strategy (pack/price architecture)

  • Ownership of Condiments Sustainability Roadmap (ambition/purpose/communications)

What You’ll Need To Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field required; Master’s degree preferred

  • A minimum of 2-3 years marketing experience in consumer products industry preferred

  • Consumer insights experience is valued

  • Understanding of digital and ecommerce landscape

  • Clear demonstration of project management and leadership skills

  • Strong bias for action and accountability both for self and others
