The expected annual salary range for this role is $80250.03 - $117700.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:

The Master Scheduler is functionally responsible for the planning of manufacturing of work orders, with knowledge of component and finished goods, using capacity management, in support of the plant’s production requirements. Adheres to standard processes for the department as established by site leadership and/or divisional strategies.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage the Master Schedule at plant level to ensure plant goals are achieved including customer on time performance & fill rates (OTP/SFR).

  • Provide promise ship date to customers, ensuring that the MS meets the customers’ required or promised deliveries regarding their requirements, review performance gaps with production management on a timely basis.

  • Lead the Sales Inventory Operations Planning (SIOP) process for plant.

  • Leverage SIOP discipline to support plant planning processes, monitor scheduling plan vs. actual to identify performance gaps for mid-month SIOP review /adjustment.

  • Reviews safety stock finished goods levels and build plan to ensure we meet the required stock levels for key customers and maintain the profit plan inventory levels.

  • Obtain information from Customer Service and Operations for material planning and forecasting.

  • Calibrate plant Master Schedule tool to align with actual capacity; Monitor actual lead time to review the feasibility of plant rough cut capacity; review gaps with management and at SIOP.

  • Maintain parameters and data in the ERP system to reflect changes in manufacturing order parameters, inventory parameters, plant shift calendar, and future schedule of assigned product lines; Ensure the plant equipment and resources are optimized. Disciplined use of system to execute tool, plan materials and capacity. Monitor work order transactions; acts as applicable for work orders not closed as required to optimize Oracle planning tool and plant resources. Analyze effectiveness of activities performed within Materials/Production functions to recommend areas of improvement.

  • Enable production planner to optimize factory planning process for manufactured components and sub-assemblies.

  • Provide guidance on order scheduling to each CS Production Planner. As a minimum guidance shall consist on daily/weekly allocation of new orders, qty breaks, balancing of product families etc

  • Formulate and administer guidelines for finished goods stocking levels, including safety stock, in support of customer contracts and manufacturing efficiency. Maintain inventory levels & dollars within established goals.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution

  • Two (2) years of master scheduling or customer service experience

  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.

  • Relocation assistance will be provided for candidates that reside outside a 50-mile radius of El Paso, TX.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Master’s degree (Engineering, Operations, Business or related field).

  • Strong manufacturing systems experience: Kanban/Pull, MRP/MAPICS, Excel

  • Understanding of lean manufacturing concepts

  • Professional APICS Certification preferred (CSCP and or CPIM)
