Here’s the Gist:

The Security Systems Technology Specialist is a member of the Security & Emergency Management team reporting to the Security Systems Supervisor. The Security Systems Technology Specialist also supports all matters involving the Security and Emergency department on an as-needed basis.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Become a Subject Matter Expert in all department software, including conducting trainings as necessary. Software include: Access Control, CCTV, Visitor Management.
  • Support the Security Systems team and vendors with device programming and configuration, including installations and troubleshooting as required.
  • Assist as needed with department administrative inquiries, including audits, reports, and vendor coordination.
  • Identify, monitor, report, and escalate related issues to achieve timely response.

This Job is Right for You if You Have:

  • General understanding of security systems: Intrusion detection; physical access control (card reader) systems; CCTV and associated networking.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Environment; Office, Teams, SharePoint, etc.
  • Ability to effectively engage with all stakeholders and communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Must have strong organizational skills and high level of attention to detail.
  • Must be a self-starter and perform with minimal guidance, including after-hours when needed.
  • Must be able to learn and apply new skills, seeking continual personal/professional improvement.
  • Flexibility to travel up to 10% annually, including international.
  • This position requires the lawful ability to access technical data, information, and areas controlled by United States export control laws and regulations.
