Here’s the Gist  

Wolfspeed is seeking a Category Specialist/ Manager supporting capital equipment.  The Category Manager will be responsible for supporting procurement activities pertaining to equipment purchase and support. The individual in this position is responsible for the execution and delivery of optimal value when meeting business requirements in addition to managing relationships and supplier performance 

The Day-to-Day:

• Collaborate cross functionally with internal and external stakeholders to develop effective category strategies for capital equipment and service with defined plans for cost savings, risk assessment and mitigation and service relationships with OEM’s in order to maximize range of opportunities and position Wolfspeed as a preferred customer 

• Identify/develop, implement, improve/maintain supplier performance in support of Wolfspeed’s category sourcing strategies to ensure quality of service 

• Drive and manage cost reduction opportunities efficiently 

• Experience developing and managing RFx and contract negotiations 

• Negotiate total lowest cost of ownership/best pricing, delivery, lead times, customer satisfaction and quality  

• Build sourcing leadership role championing improved reliability  

• Build strong, effective relationships with supply base  

• Effectively identify and manage quality, cost, and delivery 

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):

• BS in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain related field and 8 - 10 years of direct experience

• Excellent analytical and negotiation skills 

• Responsive and highly effective written and verbal communication skills 

• Working Knowledge of Oracle and/or SAP 

• Self-motivated, accountable, individual with a desire for managing a piece of the business and strive for continuous improvement   

• This position requires the lawful ability to access technical data, information, and areas controlled by United States export control laws and regulations.
