Robert Half Payroll Specialist in Denver, Colorado

Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in the Airline industry based in Denver, Colorado. This role is primarily focused on conducting accurate and timely payroll processing for a significant number of employees and maintaining comprehensive employee records. You will also have the responsibility of resolving any payroll-related issues and providing superior customer service to both employees and management.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls

• Collaborating with ADP for the filing and reconciliation of taxes at federal, state and local levels

• Uploading and verifying payroll files for processing into the ADP system

• Maintaining and updating the wiring of payroll and 401(k) funding

• Ensuring accurate data input and compliance with local, state, and federal laws in maintaining and updating payroll and employee records

• Conducting audits and making necessary changes to payroll and employee records for new hires, terminations, garnishments, levies, and company-directed changes

• Investigating and resolving any payroll issues promptly and efficiently

• Assisting team with biweekly and year-end payroll processes

• Providing excellent customer service to employees and management on a regular basis

• Assisting with the maintenance of the time and attendance system

• Using UltiPro software proficiently for payroll processing. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing or a similar role within the airline industry

• Proficiency in payroll software, specifically UltiPro

• Demonstrated knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Human Resources, or related field is preferred

• Professional certification such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is a plus

• Experience with international payroll processing is a plus.
