As a Senior Category Manager for Showroom, this position owns the strategic development, management, and growth of the lighting category within a showroom environment. This role involves curating a premium assortment, establishing strong vendor relationships, and crafting an outstanding customer shopping experience. The Senior Category Manager for Lighting Showroom is a strategic leadership role that requires a deep understanding of premium lighting products, a keen eye for design, and the ability to build an outstanding shopping experience for discerning customers within a showroom setting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for the lighting category that aligns with the showroom's overall goals and brand image.

  • Identify emerging trends and innovations in the lighting industry to maintain a groundbreaking product assortment.

  • Experience working with Rep Groups and channel ambassadors in all areas.

  • Partner with Finance Business Partner in programs, pricing, and optimizing growth/profitability.

  • Work closely with the visual merchandising team to build visually appealing displays showcasing aesthetic and functional aspects of lighting products.

  • Responsible for understanding and developing a holistic view of Showrooms that participate in lighting and fans.

  • Implement strategies to improve the overall ambiance and presentation of the lighting showroom.

  • Implement customer-centric initiatives, such as knowledgeable staff, interactive displays, and personalized service, to improve the shopping experience.

  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to continually improve the showroom's offerings and service levels.

  • Apply sales data and market trends to evaluate the lighting category's performance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Implement effective pricing, promotion, and sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.

  • Lead and mentor a team of category specialists and sales associates, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

  • Provide training on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.

  • Extensive category management experience, preferably in a premium or luxury retail environment.

  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a team to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals.

  • Proficient in utilizing data analysis tools and retail management software.

Pay Range:

$11,715.30 - $19,057.50

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
