The Physician Assistant or Acute Care NP provides care to patients under the direction of the supervising physician by assisting physicians in the care and treatment of patients with chronic and acute conditions. Assists physicians with initial examinations, preparing the plan of care, initiating treatment plans and monitoring the effectiveness of the plan of care.

Requirements:

Education: Successful completion of a Physician Assistant program that qualifies for certification status in Ohio. Bachelors degree required.

Licensure / Certification: Current license, certification or registration in the State of Ohio.

National Certification Commission for Physician Assistant (NCCPA) certification

Experience: Minimum of 5 years recent clinical experience in adult care

Effective Communication Skills

Maintains a supervision agreement with the supervising physicians.

BLS certification required
