Job Overview Hoxworth Blood Center (HBC), University of Cincinnati, was founded in 1938 and serves more than 30 hospitals in 18 counties in Southwestern Ohio, Northern Kentucky, and Southeastern Indiana. Annually, Hoxworth collects more than 100,000 units of blood from local donors to help save the lives of patients in area hospitals. Hoxworth Blood Center: Saving Lives Close to Home. HBC is located within the College of Medicine and is the only Regional Blood Center owned and operated by a University in United States. The Hoxworth Blood Center is recruiting a full-time (100% FTE) Field Manager in the Division of Donor Services, to manage the donor services collection team at our Central area donor center (Clifton), and all associated operations of one or more assigned donor-drawing operations, to ensure efficient donor flow and staff utilization. Essential Functions Monitor operations to ensure a high quality of customer service; evaluate attainment of recruitment and collection goals. Perform special donation procedures, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations, as well as Hoxworth Blood Center Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Assist in the development of new Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Act as a role model through the demonstration of professionalism for donor services staff (i.e., fulfilling Hoxworth Blood Center mission, providing donor care, dress code, attendance etc. Recommend and provide training to donor services staff. Work with Donor Services administrative staff to implement organizational changes to the field. May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.). Nine (9) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement. Required Experience Five (5) years related phlebotomy experience.
