Job Description:

Analyzes job from start to finish ensuring proper and safe work methods used.

Cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded.

Joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other material by applying appropriate welding techniques and following safety procedures.

Must be familiar with OSHA standards and requirements.

Inspects completed welds to ensure visual acceptance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

1st class needs 7 years as a marine welder with stable job history

2nd class requires 3-4 years

Ability to read blueprints is a MUST
