Holtec International Director of Projects-Holtec Government Services in Camden, New Jersey

Job Overview:

Holtec International, a global turnkey supplier of equipment and services for the Nuclear, Solar, Geothermal and Fossil Power Generation sectors of the energy industry, is seeking a Director of Projects to join our Holtec Government Services company (a wholly owned subsidiary of Holtec International).

Essential Job Functions:

  • Recruit, hire and manage HGS project management staff.

  • Assess near term and future HGS contract awards and determine Project Manager and Assistant PM needs and assignments based on skills and experience.

  • Address training and development needs for HGS project management staff.

  • Support business development efforts with customer meetings, conferences, and document reviews and represent Holtec as subject matter expert (SME) as needed for these events

  • Ensure periodic reporting and management/executive briefings occur as needed.

  • Follow up from executive comments on HGS project execution.

  • Champion quality assurance, personal safety, and nuclear safety for HGS personnel.

  • Manage the overall cost, schedule, technical, and quality of HGS projects and ensure resources are effectively applied to support project goals.

  • Assure compliance with U.S. Government contract requirements in a cost-effective and technically sound manner.

  • Oversee Project reporting which meets financial and project control requirements.

  •  Support proposal preparation and develop project estimates and schedules.

  • Support project managers in building client relationships with transparency and honesty to build repeat business.

  • Performance of HGS Associate Annual reviews.

    Basic Qualifications & Experience:

  • U.S. Citizenship.

  • Eight (8) plus years of Project Management experience on U.S. Department of Energy or U.S. Department of Defense contracts.

  • BS at a minimum, MS is preferred, in an engineering/technical field from an accredited, four-year university.

  • A keen understanding of contract compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and/or Department of Energy Acquisition Regulations (DEAR).

  • Experience overseeing manufacturing or construction projects and tracking the associated schedule and budget.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, lead discussions and determine resolutions to problems.

  • Strong project management skills including the ability to deal with unforeseen challenges and building strong relationships.

  • Excellent customer service, written and verbal communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience with budget estimates and tracking burn curves for spending.

  • Ability to obtain a US government security clearance.

    Desired Skills:

  • MS Office, Excel, Power Point and Word.

  • Strong scheduling experience using Primavera and Microsoft Project, including experience with the execution of projects following EIA-748, Earned Value Management Systems Acceptance Guide.

  • An understanding of DOE Orders associated with project execution, particularly DOE Order 413.3B, Program and Project Management for the Acquisition of Capital Assets.

  • An understanding of contract compliance with 2 CFR Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards .

  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) or equivalent.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk and listen. The associate may be required to travel via car, plane or train to customer locations, and events.     Work Location:

    The work location is the Holtec corporate office in Camden, NJ. Working schedule is four to five days per week in the office.
