Unilever Financial Analyst - Seventh Generation in Burlington, Vermont

OVERVIEW

The Financial Analyst (International focus) will provide expertise to drive and support the Global SVG expansion and Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function broadly. Key responsibilities will be financial analysis/reporting, financial forecasting and supporting new country launches while ensuring consistency with the company’s strategies and financial objectives. The Financial Analyst will work with the Leadership Team and Global Business Partners to identify and recommend opportunities for improved financial performance and growth. This role will also be directly supporting the Overhead oversight and planning of the business via Monthly Rolling Forecast and the Annual Operating Plan process.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES

  • Global Financial Partnership

  • Provide strategic financial partnership to the Global Expansion Team to ensure growth and enable the business to exceed its growth and financial goals.

  • Prepare monthly management reporting package for communication against financial KPIs.

  • Proactively identify opportunities by using financial information and provide analytical support, insights and recommendations to drive country/category profitability.

  • Global OH Management

  • Oversight and support to the Leadership Team for tight management of Global OHs

  • Planning and Analysis to track against KPIs and annual Cost Optimization commitments

  • Provide Insights and recommendations for mid and long-range planning efforts

  • All other Duties/Responsibilities as a team member of the Finance organization

  • Be an active member of small agile team who relies on having on a strong team ethos

  • Support the Finance team achievement of annual priorities, goals and objectives

  • Assist with special projects and analysis as needed

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Passion for working in a value-based and mission-driven company.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business (or related education) [MBA a plus]

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in FP&A role or similar analytical role. CPG industry knowledge a plus

  • Ability to distill information, build fact based insights and ability to clearly communicate recommendations.

  • Curious and driven to learn new business systems and processes, and ability to work with Unilever counterparts to get answers and systemic solutions to challenges.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) a must. Experience with Cube Reporting a plus.

  • Effective time management skills and ability to multitask.

  • Strong attention to detail and very strong organizational skills.

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.

  • Must be comfortable working in a fast paced, demanding and sometimes ambiguous work environment.
