The team is responsible for shielding the company’s systems from security risks, while designing technology strategies that enable AIG’s businesses to achieve their goals. How you will create an impact

This is a fantastic varied role within our global development team where you will be involved in all aspects of development and have the opportunity to work on over 150 applications.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

• Learn assigned applications, their code bases and the environments they reside in

• Write Unit Tests and/or Integration Tests to support all coding changes

• Work closely with Principal and Senior team members for mentorship and to and work through issues

• Work on minor enhancements, bug fixes and maintenance releases

• Learn and follow Travel Guard’s defined SDLC Process (software development life cycle)

• Deliver quality, understandable code by learning and implementing defined coding best practices

• Document and explain changes, as needed, to support hand-off to other teams and users

• Mentor Junior team members, preparing them for added responsibilities and duties

• Follow specifications and work on new application features

• Refactor and restructure the code base with the support of Principal and Senior team members

• Provide Tier II support for assigned applications

• Recommend enhancements, optimizations and improvements of assigned applications

What you’ll need to succeed

• Experience as a .Net Developer

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft .Net technologies (C#, Web API) and Microsoft SQL Server

• Experience of working with TFS, Git or other similar source code repositories

• Experience working as a full stack developer

• Experience of developing with front-end web application frameworks, such as Angular/React/Blazor – desirable

• Experience developing SOAP/WCF Web services - desirable

• Strong communicator with the ability to convey information and resolve user issues

• Ability to prioritise and manage workload, ensuring efficient handling of user inquiries
