Mission
Reeves Construction is seeking a Regional Controller for the Reeves East Division, based in Augusta, GA, which contains both construction and manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Region Manager, this person will be responsible for all financial reporting of the region, enforcing proper internal controls, and providing any necessary analysis to aid in decision-making. The Regional Controller interacts with all employees of the region, the administrative team, the corporate team, the leadership team, and external customers and suppliers. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable, accurate, and efficient with strong time management and analytical skills.
Main Responsibilities
Lead all accounting and administration
Prepare and publish timely monthly financial documents
Prepare budgets and financial forecasts
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
Provide analysis to other members of management vital to the decision-making process
Develop and monitor business performance measurements
Evaluate and implement internal controls
Hire, train, and retain skilled administrative staff
Profile
Validated working experience in a related industry (Construction under percent complete revenue recognition, and Manufacturing)
5+ years of overall combined accounting experience
Bachelors degree in Accounting
CPA or CMA preferred
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
Experience with creating financial documents
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
Effective written and oral communication skills
Excellent accounting software user and administration skills:
Proficiency with entire MS Office suite of applications
JDE Enterprise 1 experience preferred
Hyland OnBase document software experience preferred
Physical Requirements
Sedentary Work: The job is primarily office-based and involves sitting for extended periods while working on computers and reviewing financial documents.
Computer Use: Frequent use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse, which requires manual dexterity and visual acuity.
Light Lifting: Occasionally lifting and moving objects such as files or office supplies, typically not exceeding 10-15 pounds.
Concentration and Focus: The ability to maintain concentration and focus for extended periods while analyzing data, preparing reports, and working with complex financial information.
